Nine pergolas on the shore of Lake Garda

The project

A lakefront hotel wanted to serve breakfast and aperitivo closer to the water, in the shade and regardless of the weather. Nine AP-110 louvered pergolas now run along the garden, giving every table its own roof and its own patch of lake view.

Working around a century-old garden

The building is wrapped in a monumental bougainvillea that could not be touched. Custom brackets carry the pergolas from the facade without loading the plant, and the ivory powder coating the owners chose melts into the historic plasterwork.

One system, simple operations

For the staff, the deciding factor was simplicity: louvers that adjust in minutes without motors to maintain, a frame that needs nothing more than rain to stay clean. Guests, meanwhile, mostly notice that the terrace is finally usable from breakfast to last drink.
